Worked out from the ingredients. How we work out our numbers
Ingredients
- 50 g Rolled oats
- 200 g Greek yogurt
- 200 ml Whole milk
- 1 whole Medjool dates (pitted)
- 1 tbsp Chia seeds
- 0.5 tsp Ground cinnamon
Method
- 1
Tear the 1 pitted Medjool date into pieces, put it in a jar with the 50g of rolled oats and 200ml of whole milk, and leave it to soak for 10 minutes, or overnight if you are making it before bed, until the oats have drunk most of the milk and gone soft. This is what stops the finished drink tasting powdery.
- 2
Tip the oat mixture into a blender with 200g of Greek yogurt and half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, and blend for 45 seconds until completely smooth and pourable.
- 3
Stir 1 tbsp of chia seeds through the blended drink by hand rather than blending them, so they stay whole and thicken it as it sits.
- 4
Cover and put it in the fridge. It thickens as it sits, so loosen it with a splash of milk in the morning if you want it thinner.
