Ingredients
- 150 g Dried molokhia leaves
- 800 ml Chicken stock (or vegetable)
- 6 Garlic cloves
- 1 tsp Ground coriander
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 whole Red onion
- 150 g Chicken breast (optional)
- 1 pinch Salt and pepper

Pour stock into a pot and bring to a boil. If using chicken breast, add it now and simmer for 15 minutes until cooked through. Remove and shred, then set aside.
- 2
Crumble dried molokhia leaves between your fingers into the hot stock. Stir well to combine and prevent lumping. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- 3
Slice garlic thinly. Finely chop red onion.
- 4
Heat olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Stir in ground coriander.
- 5
Pour garlic oil mixture into the molokhia pot and stir well. Add shredded chicken if used. Simmer for another 5 minutes.
- 6
Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot in bowls.
