Ingredients
- 250 g Ground beef (or lamb)
- 2 pieces Pita bread
- 1 whole Onion
- 1 whole Bell pepper (red)
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 0.5 tsp Cumin
- 0.5 tsp Paprika
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
Method
- 1
Finely dice onion and bell pepper. Mince garlic. Set aside.
- 2
Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- 3
Add diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the meat. Stir in cumin and paprika. Cook for 5-7 minutes until vegetables soften. Season with salt and pepper.
- 4
Carefully open each pita bread to create a pocket. Stuff generously with meat filling. Place on a baking sheet, brush with remaining oil, and bake at 190°C (375°F) for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
