Worked out from the ingredients. How we work out our numbers
Ingredients
- 200 g Flatbread (falafel or pita)
- 200 g Ground lamb (or beef)
- 150 g Yogurt
- 60 g Onion
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 30 g Ghee (or butter)
- 2 g Cumin
- 2 g Black pepper
- 2 g Salt
Method
- 1
Heat half the ghee in a pan over medium-high heat. Add finely diced onion and minced garlic, cook for 2 minutes. Add ground lamb and cook until browned and breaking apart, about 8-10 minutes. Season with cumin, black pepper, and salt.
- 2
Cut flatbread into large pieces. Heat remaining ghee in a skillet and fry bread pieces until golden and crispy on all sides, about 3-4 minutes. Transfer to a serving dish.
- 3
Spread a layer of yogurt on the fried bread pieces. Top with cooked meat mixture and its oil. Drizzle with additional ghee or yogurt if desired.
- 4
Bring to the table warm. The combination of hot meat and cool yogurt creates a balanced temperature dish that's satisfying and hydrating.
