Ingredients
- 350 g Firm tofu
- 30 g Tahini
- 16 g Sesame seeds
- 20 ml Lemon juice
- 2 tsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Salt
Method
- 1
Press the 350g of firm tofu between two tea towels for 2 minutes, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- 2
Toss the cubes with the 16g of sesame seeds, 1 tsp ground cumin and 1 tsp salt until every face carries a few seeds.
- 3
Cook the cubes in 2 tsp vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat for 6 minutes, turning every couple of minutes, until the seeds are golden and the edges crisp.
- 4
Whisk the 30g tahini with the 20ml lemon juice, 1 tsp chilli flakes and a splash of cold water until it pours off the spoon in a ribbon.
- 5
Serve the bites warm with the dip alongside, or let them cool for 5 minutes before boxing so they do not steam themselves soft.
